Step 2
Once a vehicle has been sold using our platform and the transaction has been concluded between the purchaser and the seller, a commission of 3%, calculated on the value of the transaction concluded between the two parties, will be due to Torque Trader Pty Ltd. This Commission value is however capped at R25 000,00 per vehicle.
The benefit to this is that the seller will only pay a commission once he/she has sold the vehicle, not like other platforms where you pay an advertising fee regardless of whether you sell your car or not. For more information, please refer to paragraphs 8, 9 and 14 of our Terms and Conditions of Service.
Once the transaction has been concluded and the seller marks the vehicle as “sold” on the website, Torque Trader will calculate the 3% commission and will contact the seller, with the banking details, to pay the commission due to Torque Trader Pty Ltd.
The seller will pay the 3% commission.
In the event of the seller not paying Torque Trader our due and payable commission after the sale of a vehicle listed on our site, we reserve our right to:
i. charge interest at the rate of 2% per month calculated from the due date for payment until the date on which payment is made in full; and/or
ii. give the parties 10 (ten) business days’ notice before submitting adverse consumer information to a registered credit bureau to classify a seller or a purchaser as “slow-paying”, “default”, or “not-contactable”;
iii. take any appropriate legal action against the seller or purchaser, as applicable;
iv. terminate all use of our platform by the respective parties and remove all listings advertised on our site by the defaulting party.
Your listing will be reviewed within 24 working hours, provided it is listed on a weekday. Reviews over weekends may take longer.
Torque Trader will verify purchase and sale transactions on the eNaTIS database. We also believe that people are inherently good at heart. As this is a very small community, news about the sale will be common knowledge in a short time.
