To compliment the timeless and elegant looks the 4200 is fitted with a powertrain to match. The engine is a similar derivative to that of a Ferrari F430 and due to the cars smaller size and weight is faster than the Granturismo model that replaced it.
This particular example has had one fastidious caretaker for the past 15 years. Recently the car was sent to Maserati JHB for a major service and other time related maintenance to ensure it is in optimal condition for its next caretaker.
