The motor has been upgraded to a newer 2,0 litre giving the vehicle ample power to cruise the open roads at a comfortable speed of 120kmh.Webber 36mm down draft carbs have been fitted with a Monza free flow exhaust system. The addition of disc brakes have been added to the rear. A MP4 quick shifter has been fitted to the original 4 speed gear box.17 inch Fuchs wheels adjourn the bus however the standard original wheel and hubcaps accompany the sale. All the window rubbers, door rubbers are brand new. The vehicle has been professionally resprayed and is 100 % rust free. The interior and carpet are all brand new and blend in perfectly with the retro look of the period.
This Retro look Kombi comes with the surf boards, roof rack, standard rims and hubcaps and a tow bar.
Their ‘Kombi’ nature encourages individuality, and most will have been altered in some way. Engine upgrades, either with later VW engines, or even Porsche and Subaru units are also common, as are LPG conversions. Interior upgrades and conversions are also very widespread.
